Blur the rider's face on a sales video

HORSES.SALE has an AI-powered tool that automatically blurs the rider's face in a sales video. It protects the rider's privacy, and it lets agents keep the rider's identity out of the picture so buyers can't bypass them and go straight to the owner. The tool is available in both the web app and the mobile app.

Why this matters

A sales video is public in a way sellers rarely think through. It gets forwarded, posted in groups, and saved by people who were never part of the conversation — and the rider in the saddle is recognisable in every copy. That rider may be a working student, a young professional, or a client's daughter who never agreed to appear in an advert being shared across the internet. Some riders simply don't want it known that they're riding a horse that's for sale.

For agents, the identifiable rider creates a different problem. If a buyer recognises the rider, they can find the yard, the owner, or the trainer behind the horse within minutes — and contact them directly. The agent who found the buyer, prepared the presentation, and did the work is then quietly cut out of the deal. It's one of the oldest frustrations in horse sales, and it makes agents reluctant to share good material openly.

Blurring solves both concerns without weakening the video. What a buyer needs to see is the horse: its movement, its jump, its way of going — none of which depends on the rider's face. Removing that one detail keeps the rider anonymous and the communication in your hands, while the video keeps doing its job. Doing it manually would mean video editing software and frame-by-frame work; here it's a single action on a video you already uploaded.

How to use it

Blur the rider's face on a sales video

The tool works with videos uploaded to your account, and not with YouTube links — those can't be processed. In the mobile app, open "Tools" and choose the "Blur the rider" option, and you'll see the list of your uploaded videos; YouTube links aren't shown there for that reason. You can pick one of the existing videos or tap "Add video" to upload a new one. In the web app the path runs through "My Videos": select the video you want to edit, or click "Add new video" to upload one, then open its "Settings".

Applying the blur is a single step. In the app, tap "Apply blur"; on the web, scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click "Apply Blur". From there the AI handles the rest — it finds the rider's face and blurs it throughout the video, with no manual editing on your side.

Processing takes about ten minutes. When it's finished, you receive an email with a link to the processed video, which you can download and use wherever you need it — in a listing, on your Business Page, in a collection, or in a message to a client. One thing worth knowing before you start: the tool currently operates in test mode, with a maximum video length of 2 minutes 30 seconds at 720p, or 1 minute at 1080p. For most sales videos that's enough to show the horse properly, and it's a good reminder to keep presentation clips short anyway.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to edit the video myself?

No. The tool is AI-powered and does it automatically — you select the video and apply the blur, and the face is blurred without any manual editing.

How long does processing take?

About ten minutes. You'll receive an email with a link to the processed video, which you can then download and use.

Does it work with YouTube links?

No, only with videos uploaded to your account. YouTube links can't be used for blurring, so they aren't shown in the video list.

Are there limits on video length or quality?

Yes, for now. The tool operates in test mode with a maximum of 2 minutes 30 seconds at 720p, or 1 minute at 1080p.

Other usecases

Free Horse Sale Contract Template

The HORSES.SALE agreement generator replaces the sale contract template you would otherwise download and try to adapt. A guided form asks about the parties, the horse's identification, price and payment, transport, the vet check, when ownership and risk pass, the seller's warranties and which country's law applies — then AI drafts the full agreement in one of nine languages. Every clause stays editable, and the contract can be printed, downloaded as a PDF or sent for e-signature.

How to Find Buyers for Your Horse

Instead of publishing an advert and waiting, HORSES.SALE works the other way round: it takes your horse's details and finds the buyers who are already looking for one like it. Requests come from two sources — buyers who registered a request on HORSES.SALE, and requests the search engine finds across the web and social media — and are matched on discipline, level, age, height, country and budget. You can do this before deciding whether to advertise the horse publicly at all.

Free Horse Sale Description Generator

The HORSES.SALE description generator turns a short form into a ready-to-publish horse sale advert. Choose a tone, a length and one of eleven languages, tick the details that actually apply to your horse — discipline, age, breed, gender, height, level, show record, vet status, temperament — and the AI writes the text. Copy it, send it to your email, and use it in a HORSES.SALE listing, on another marketplace or in a Facebook post. It is free and works without an account.
